Hsiao Min Pang, Certified Professional Life Coach

The questions of “who am I?” and “what am I doing with my life?” are ones that dogged me for years.

It first appeared during adolescence, and it stayed through a large part of my adulthood. Part of the struggle came from having lived in 5 different countries, moving over 30 times.

Like many, I switched my career path away from what I majored in during college to something more "practical". I found myself switching from industry to industry, initially suffering terribly in the beginning, transitioning to jobs that were more tolerable over time, but the constant sense of cognitive dissonance was there.

I was often rationalizing to myself why a particular line of work was right for me, the concept of doing what I was passionate about was always in the periphery, but largely ignored.

While I was able to play the corporate game, I felt fundamentally at odds with some of my deepest values; my ability to have a direct and deeper impact on the lives of others was missing.

During a performance review, my boss remarked "you're really good with this coaching stuff-- have you noticed how the range of employees flock to you and trust you? We're talking about the rank and file through the general manager/senior manager level. Promise me that you'll do something with this gift."

After hiring a life coach myself and completing a ton of research, becoming a coach was an easy decision to make.

I'm an iPEC Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP). Much of what I do is to acknowledge where you are now, the circumstances of your life and environment and to work with you in sorting through the things that may be holding you back in getting you to where you truly want to be.

This process entails getting a very clear sense of your values, your inner purpose and passions, and connecting that with the goals that are most important to you, and slowly helping you recognize your own ability to empower yourself to shape your life in the way that is authentic and sustainable.

Rather than focus with a particular demographic, I look at the bigger challenges that you may be facing in your life and use my coaching style to identify how we can overcome those together.

I know firsthand what it’s like to live a life where you’re overwhelmed and paralyzed to one of feeling free, fulfilled, clear and balanced. Some examples:

Baby-boomers—notably, workaholic executives who have spent every ounce of their energy at their jobs that they’ve not really figured out what to do as retirement looms closely or has already arrived.

Mid-career professionals/executives who have achieved everything they set out to achieve, yet somehow feel that in spite of this, they do not feel internally aligned with their exterior goals.

My first consultation is complimentary. Get in touch with me and tell me more about yourself.
